Welcome to the Aberdeen MG Owners' Club website

The club is an informal gathering place for MG car enthusiasts.  Whether you own an MG — a new or old model — or are thinking of buying one, or are merely interested in the marque, you will fit in perfectly.

By gathering regularly, we have an opportunity to swap technical information (and anecdotes!), appreciate each other's cars and, above all make new friends.

We normally meet regularly on the second Thursday of each month at 7.30 p.m. in Kippie Lodge, Peterculter (but please check the events list for exceptions).  During the colder months of the year we do a lot of technical nattering, though we also devote one of the regular meetings to a Quiz Night and another to a Christmas Dinner.  In the spring and summer we have short and longer-distance runs in our cars, including joining as a group in events and rallies not organized by ourselves. Do feel free to come to a meeting without obligation; you'll find a warm welcome waiting for you.

Our own major annual event is the club's show and prize day at Drum Castle.  This year's Drum Show took place on Sunday August 4th, with generous support from Mackie Motors MG, Brechin, who displayed three cars from the current MG range.  As in previous years, the display of MG cars of all vintages was accompanied by jazz music sung by Cindy Douglas and her backing trio.  A variety of displays from charities and car care companies was present, also this year's racing car from the Aberdeen University TAU Racing Team.*

*We enjoy a very warm relationship with Team Aberdeen University racing.  Not only have they brought their latest car for display at our Drum Event for the past six years, in March this year they gave us another presentation on all aspects of their work designing, building and racing the cars.    You can learn more on the TAU Facebook page.
